This is some of our copy we have been working on that will explain our origin and what we wish to share with the world. We Are currently stuck with what is the best hook for our avatar because there are so many more layers to successful health maintenance than just weight loss..


We work daily with patients that are just like you. As a Family Doctor and a Registered nurse, we were trained in the science of medicine, but very little focus was given to the impact of diet on our patient’s health. We followed the mainstream message that encouraged a low fat, low calorie, low salt diet and asked our patients to get more active with the old “calories in calories out” mantra. 

 

In 2018, we had the opportunity to change our patient focus to a more proactive health model. Instead of treating disease with more medications, we wanted to find ways to help our patients avoid health problems before they started. And maybe even reverse some of the chronic diseases that we were seeing in our office.  We knew this started with education, but first we needed to educate ourselves. What was the one KEYSTONE change a person could make that would ultimately influence a person’s lifestyle? Our research lead us to changes in diet. When we discovered that what we had been told and we were telling our patients was wrong, we were so angry?! What was even more upsetting, was that the correct information had been out there for years, but for some reason had been buried.


Armed with all this information, we set out to work with our patients to use diet to improve their health. At first, we focused on our Type 2 diabetics, then we expanded to the “pre diabetic: or “borderline" diabetics. We started looking at fasting insulin levels and inflammation markers and discovered many of our patients were well on their way to developing Type 2 diabetes and all the complications that come with the damage it causes. 

 

Our initial results were outstanding! If our patients truly engaged in these changes, we saw results. Blood sugar levels came down to the point we had to start taking them off diabetic medications. Their blood pressure dropped and we had to reduce or stop some blood pressure medications. Even their cholesterol levels got better! Some of our patient have had to buy new belts and wardrobes because of their substantial weight loss. We have also seen a decrease in inflammation problems and an increase in their energy.
