• Know exactly what you want to written. Captain Obvious, I know, but you'd be amazed how many muddled romantic comedy/Christian redemption/historical murder mystery manuscripts have landed in my In Box ready for a 'quick edit' before publication! I totally get it...you have ideas. Lots of them. I do too! HINT: if you are a health person, who do you want to target? What are their needs, etc? Are you a Workout-to Weight loss expert, or are Keto pills your thing? You can write about the benefits of organic school lunches next go around.
• If possible, have an outline. This saves an incredible amount of time and helps guide me through your expertise; therefore saving me from annoying you like mad durung those precious moments when you're trying to hang out with the Fam' Bam. HINT: Grab a set of index cards. Write chapter headings on each one...or what each chapter is about. (I can come up with a heading), then beneath the 'title' write three to five points you would like to make. Total no brainer, right?
• Know when you want this project to 'Go Live'. Once we have agreed upon a date, due to other professional timelines, it can be hard to change it. HINT: The longer, and more complex the project, the more lead time needed.
