Let me create sheet music for your original song!

If you have an original song (five minutes in duration or less), I can create sheet music for you for $50. Why is this important? When you sell your music, having the sheet music is always a good idea as an added bonus for any funnel that involves selling songs with lyrics. It gives your customers something physically to handle and "read" as they perform and/or orchestrate your song. Even non-music readers can gather an idea of tempo, rhythm, and melody direction from a piece of sheet music.

You'll get a professional looking product with accurate rhythms and melody. Many of the programs people use for creating sheet music don't work well unless the music is performed perfectly in rhythm with a metronome. For even the best of musicians, this can be difficult. Having this service completed by a real person ensures your song is accurately prepared.

What is included in "lead sheet" format:

1. Melody
2. Lyrics (you provide)
3. Chords (you provide)

Once you send me the files, I'll do what we call in the classical music world and "take dictation" on your melody. You provide the chords and lyrics. I'll simply input all that information into my music program (Sibelius) and then send you a downloadable PDF that you can print off and share with your customers.

Add-ons by special request:

1. Chords to your song: $20
2. Songs longer than five minutes but under 9 minutes: Add another $20
3. Songs over 9 minutes, please send me a message with details for a quote.
4. An instrumental arrangement of music that's in public domain. Please message me for a quote. Include title and composer. Price depends on what's involved with your arrangement (number of parts, instruments, etc.). In this case, you provide the sheet music or send me a link where I can download it.
5. More than one song. Message for quote.  

What I CAN'T do:

1. Music by other people. This is a copyright infringement unless you can produce a document where they've signed the rights to that music over to you.
2. Original Instrumental pieces (no lyrics). This takes too much time and isn't cost effective.
3. Orchestrations and arrangements of your original song. This should be left up to the individual(s) performing your song. The lead sheet is generally enough for most band members.

ABOUT ME: I'm a classical musician and music educator and currently teach at the college level. In the public schools, I taught elementary music, middle school band, and accompanied choral groups. As a performer, I've been a member of several orchestras and chamber ensembles and love giving recitals. I do have a doctoral degree in music and specialize in walking students through the basics of performing and teaching.
